Karlie Rambo
MA, MFTC
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate (MFTC) with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, specializing in Systemic Sex Therapy, and over five years of experience in hospital psychiatric care. I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, parenting and family concerns, intimacy, identity exploration, and major life transitions.
My background in psychiatric care has shaped my ability to bring a steady, calm, and trauma-informed presence to therapy. I place a strong emphasis on building genuine trust, particularly with clients who may have struggled to open up or connect in previous therapy experiences. My approach is honest, collaborative, and grounded in genuine human connection, with warmth and humor woven in along the way.
My training in Systemic Sex Therapy allows me to support individuals and couples navigating relationship dynamics, intimacy concerns, and identity exploration through a relational and systemic lens. I also have experience using play therapy and creative interventions to help children process and express emotions in ways that feel natural and accessible to them.
My clinical approach integrates relational, Narrative, and strengths-based perspectives with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Together, we will explore patterns that may no longer be serving you, build on your existing strengths and resilience, and develop practical tools for meaningful change.
