Sophia Markey

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Denver. I work with teens and adults navigating complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, panic attacks, body image, and identity exploration.

I am passionate about supporting those who have experienced sexual violence, and those navigating traumatic grief, such as suicide loss survivors.

My approach is trauma-informed, and I utilize various modalities, including ACT, DBT, ERP and art therapy. I am trained in evidence-based trauma treatments, including EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).

I value flexibility, humor, and creativity in the therapy process. Together, we can work to increase insight and awareness, build upon existing strengths, process past experiences, and celebrate growth along the way.
