Rachel "Rae" Fuqua

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies, with a minor in African American Studies, from UNC-Greensboro, and a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in Systemic Sex Therapy from National University. I offer in-person and telehealth therapy for individuals 16+ and all relationship structures. My clinical approach is integrative, grounded in Solution-Focused and Narrative Therapy, with additional training in the Gottman Method, Relational Life Therapy (RLT), and DBT. I also have specialized training supporting clients through postpartum depression, perinatal loss, and PMDD.

I work with clients exploring or practicing ethical non-monogamy, healing from religious trauma, and navigating questions of intimacy and their intersecting identities. I welcome clients of all identities and backgrounds, and am especially passionate about working with BIPOC and Queer individuals.

My approach is direct, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. I aim to be an empathetic sounding board, helping clients explore their goals and values and offering feedback and new perspectives without judgment. I create a space where trust and safety come first, so clients can be vulnerable, process feedback, and move toward the life they want.
